A voucher will be provided to you when you arrive at the conference and a phone number for contacting Skyrail to arrange your transfers and time of travel.

Skyrail

Travel above the canopy of the Barron Gorge National Park in a gondola over the world's longest (7.5 kilometre) cableway. Experience the magical silence and natural rainforest beauty as you glide above the trees. The journey takes approximately 1½ hours each way including approximately 30 minutes at each of two stations along the route where you can walk through the ancient rainforest and view the Barron Falls. Before the return journey, take time to explore Kuranda, a lively country town filled with market stalls with special market days on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Either travel both ways on Skyrail or travel in one direction on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Built over a century ago, this journey on one of the world's most scenic train routes will take you through hand-hewn tunnels and across bridges with amazing views.

Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park

In addition to these options you could also visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park which is located adjacent to the Skyrail Cairns terminal. Here you can experience 40,000 years of history legends, dance and culture presented by the local Tjapukai people. Included in the price is admission to three theatres, boomerang and spear throwing, didgeridoo demonstrations, a museum, art gallery and a traditional Aboriginal camp. Simultaneous translation is available in two of the theatres. It is recommended that you allow at least two hours at Tjapukai.

Rainforestation Experience

Another option that guests can take is the Rainforestation Experience from Kuranda. Cruise a forest waterway by World War II amphibious army duck and meet the koalas and other inhabitants of the Wildlife Park plus see a traditional dance show performed by the Pamagirri dancers. Guests need to allow up to three hours for this experience.
