Partners' Program

A schedule of alternative activities has been planned for partners. Partners are welcome to purchase tickets for the following activities. To register your partner, simply register their name and selected activities on the registration form.

Partner registration includes a satchel and one ticket to the Welcoming Reception, Partner's Meet and Greet, Monday morning tea and Music Recital.

Meet other partners attending the conference and mingle with friends at an informative welcome to Cairns. Learn about the history of Cairns and the unique sights to visit during your stay. Plus find out more about tours you would like to take while you are in North Queensland. The session will also include an opal presentation from Evert Opals, a family-owned Cairns business that specialises in the mining and retail of Boulder Opals. Evert Opals will provide examples of the different types of opals and explain the criteria for valuing opals. Evert Opals will provide a complimentary opal sample for all registered partners. Includes morning tea.

Australian Art Gallery Tour

Experience a variety of high quality Australian art including indigenous, contemporary, emerging and traditional when you visit some of Cairns' leading art galleries on the Australian Art Gallery Tour. You will visit Queensland's largest regional gallery, the Cairns Regional Gallery, where you have the chance to view paintings and ceramics by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. At next stop, the ATSI Arts TAFE Gallery, you have the opportunity to view artists at work, perhaps working on their speciality - print making. See museum-quality artefacts and specially commissioned artworks at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park Gallery, where you can also support indigenous artists by purchasing artwork, didgeridoos and indigenous gifts. Finally, enjoy a buffet lunch at Tjapukai before returning to the Cairns Convention Centre. The coach tour will include commentary on local history and points of interest. Cost: AUD$96 - includes lunch, entrance to galleries and return coach transport.
