Conference registration will be conducted at the conference office located in the main foyer, Cairns Convention Centre at the following times:

Climate

Cairns has a tropical climate. In June, Cairns' temperature ranges from 17 to 26 degrees Celsius (sometimes down to 10 degrees Celsius overnight). Days are warm and sunny and nights are balmy.

Electricity

Australia's domestic electricity supply is 240 volts, 50 cycles.

Messages

A message board will be located outside the conference office. Please advise potential callers to contact the Cairns Convention Centre (Telephone: +61 (0)7 4042 4200) and ask for the PESC'02 office. No guarantee can be given to deliver messages personally.

Payment

All prices are in Australian dollars including 10% GST. Cheques or drafts must be in Australian currency, drawn on an Australian bank and free of all charges. Alternatively, payment by credit card is acceptable. Faxed registration forms are acceptable only if payment is by credit card. Please note that debits to your credit card will appear as Intermedia on your credit card statement.

Personal Mail

The conference organisers do not accept responsibility for personal mail. Please have mail sent to your accommodation address.
