Abstract :
This paper discusses the AC/DC/AC IGBT converter system with a quasi-resonant circuit, which is a common commutation system for all transistors and which minimizes switching losses. The input AC/DC inverter is controlled to keep the input power factor on a level equal to one. The output DC/AC inverter supplies the AC motor, which is controlled by an indirectly field-oriented method. (Author abstract) 9 Refs.
