Abstract :
The author discusses ways of reducing switching losses of fast
recovery rectifiers. He starts by discussing the switch-off
behaviour and then gives the characteristics of fast rectifiers.
Four brief examples are given. Two major actions in reducing the
losses, adapted choice and optimal operation, are discussed.
