The 1998 Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 29th PESC®, sponsored by the IEEE Power Electronics Society and the Institute of Electronics, INformation and Communication Engineers (Japan), will be held at the Sea Hawk Hotel and Resort, Fukoka, Japan May 17-22, 1998. PESC provides an international forum for specialists in power electronics to present and discuss papers on forward-looking topics in this fast-evolving field. PESC promotes interdisciplinary discussions of new ideas and the latests advances in the field of power electronics. PESC '98 has solicited papers on original work in systems, circuit topologies, devices, control theroy and methods, simulation and design methos, utility applications, electric vehicle applications, aerospace applications, motor drives, education, and other significant contributions to the advancement of power elctronics. The deadline for submission of abstracts and digests was September 5, 1997. Authors will be notified December 15, 1997 of acceptance, and camera-ready manuscripts will be due February 28, 1998.
